Touraine Truffles

Reintroduced into the Touraine region in the 80s, the truffle is enjoying a remarkable renaissance. Truffle plantations (in oak and chestnut groves) have developed rapidly thanks to the quality of soil and climate, allowing aficionados to substantially raise the sales of Touraine truffles since 1990. About 800 kg are cultivated per year, to the great delight of Indre-et-Loire’s better tables.
